SKF’s Waveseal shaft sealing features a specially molded lip to form a wave pattern around the shaft surface, enabling lubricant to be pumped back to the bearing for optimized lubricant retention while pushing dirt away from the lip/shaft surface. The lip generates 25-35% less heat at the contact point and generates 20% less friction torque or drag.
