Bricmont supplying pusher furnace to improve productivity, lower fuel consumption
Bricmont Inc. reports a multi-million-dollar contract to install a new reheat furnace for Tamco Steel in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The rebar operation — the only mini-mill in the state of California — is replacing the reheat furnace between its billet caster and 18-stand rolling mill.

In addition to the new pusher furnace, Bricmont, an Inductotherm Group company, is supplying Levels 1 and 2 control systems, billet-charging and –discharging equipment, and associated automation devices. While no timeframe has been reported, Bricmont indicates the new furnace will improve plant productivity and heating quality, and lower fuel consumption and NOx emissions.
